Being in love, engaged to be married. To live together as partners.
Over the years there are beautiful moments, but also deep valleys.
You see each other in the naked truth. Masks fall because they are ultimately put under enormous pressure. You know each other through and through and the pink cloud is cracked like a gum bubble.
Then you see that other person.
What a resilience, what a sparkle and even younger too! That is something else than what you have at home.
Moreover, he /she understands you. This other person understands so precisely what you are going through, much better than your wife than your husband.
Do you recognize this?
The underlying stream of these events often has to do with dissatisfaction with yourself! You have become older and life has brought you disappointments.
There is such a desire to be able to have the chance to do it all over again
But that is how you finally will start again on a pink cloud. You are fooling yourself! So you refuse to do this again.
Because life has made you mature!
Moreover, you know very well that what you have built up is more than a young body, passion and adventure.
You got to know each other. You are able to fathom the deepest being of your partner.
There is a band that, if you're honest, means much more than passion and romance.
Instead of denying yourself, who you are now, - by running away from the situation, to finally and irrevocably bump into yourself again, - you better face the facts.
We can only bloom in our true colors! Then a band can develop through thick and thin.
Then the lesson is learned. Happiness starts with being happy and satisfied with who you are!
Then there is no longer that endless expectation that someone else should make you happy! But there is a "duality" in which you confirm each other!
Jesus Sirach 42:24 - 25
All things are in pairs, each the opposite of the other, but nothing the Lord made is incomplete.
Everything completes the goodness of something else. Could anyone ever see enough of this splendor?
